How to Check WAEC Result Without Visiting a Cybercafe

The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for School Candidates, 2025 that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 4, 2025.

Gone are the days when you must visit a cybercafe to check your WAEC result. With your mobile phone, you can now access your WAEC result anytime, anywhere — either by using the online WAEC portal or via SMS. This guide will show you step-by-step how to check your WAEC result without leaving your home.

What You Need to Check Your WAEC Result

• Your WAEC Examination Number (e.g., 4250101234)
• Your result checker PIN (e-PIN or scratch card)
• Internet access (for online method) or airtime (for SMS method)

Method 1: Checking Your WAEC Result Online

1. Open your phone's browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox)
2. Go to https://www.waecdirect.org
3. Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number
4. Select your Examination Year (e.g., 2025)
5. Select your Examination Type (e.g., May/June)
6. Enter your result checker PIN and serial number
7. Click on “Submit” to see your result

Method 2: Checking Your WAEC Result via SMS

This method is useful when you don’t have access to the internet. Just follow these steps:

Send the following SMS format to 32327:

WAEC*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear

Example: WAEC*4250101234*123456789012*2025

Wait for a response containing your result. SMS charges may apply (about ₦30).

After Checking Your Result

Once you’ve seen your result, take note of your grades and print it out later for official use. You can now proceed to apply for Post-UTME or Direct Entry forms.
