UNIMAID 2025/2026 Post-UTME & Direct Entry Screening — Requirements & How to Apply

The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has announced the 2025/2026 Post-Admission Screening Exercise for UTME and Direct Entry candidates. The screening will run from Monday, 11 August 2025 and end on Thursday, 11 September 2025. There will be no extension beyond the stated closing date, so candidates should complete their registration promptly.

Who is eligible for UNIMAID Admissions?

To participate in the screening exercise you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

    • Only candidates who selected University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) as their first choice in the 2025/2026 JAMB UTME or Direct Entry are eligible.
    • UTME candidates must have a minimum UTME score of 150, except where a higher cut-off is specified for certain courses on the UNIMAID website.
    • Candidates must meet the correct UTME subject combination for their chosen course as prescribed in the 2025 JAMB brochure.
    • Candidates who do not meet the course requirements will be allowed to change to another course only if they meet that course's requirements.
    • All candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credits in subjects relevant to their proposed course, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB).
    • Direct Entry candidates must have at least a Lower Credit at National Diploma/HND level or a Merit at NCE level (as applicable).
    • Only O’Level result printouts downloaded directly from the examination body websites (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) or photocopies of original certificates will be accepted for verification.
    • Candidates must ensure their O’Level results are uploaded to their JAMB CAPS profile before the screening.

    • Some programmes may require higher UTME cut-off marks than the general minimum of 150 — check the UNIMAID website or admissions office for course-specific cut-offs.
